Delectable Hybrids

Delectable Hybrids, a series of gouache pochoir prints on paper, asks whether Filipino American culture is a hybridized amalgamation or a cultural mishmash of East and West. It considers the ways the colonization of Asian countries like the Philippines by Western powers like Spain and the United States often led to the development of hybridized, sweet-and-savory dishes.
