The Lucky Tree series includes lottery scratcher tickets pebbled on paper and clay casts of the bark of the eastern white pine. The eastern white pine is native to northeastern North America and the lake states of the US and shares the same genus as Benguet and Mindoro pine, two pine species found in the Philippines and other parts of Asia. Like diaspora, the pine family finds itself in various environments and climates, withstanding both extreme cold and scorching temperatures, meanwhile sharing a vast network across geographies.
