Lumang Alaala (Leila Gregorio Buendia)

Lumang Alaala is a series of relief paintings of cast objects. The objects in each work trace back to memories of the artist's family’s experiences of emigrating to the US. The paintings are inspired by conversations between the artist and her family members about what they brought from the Philippines and the artist's memories of growing up around those objects.
