The highly textural work, Noneuphoria, expresses a lifetime of scratching lottery scratchers through the visual accumulation of used lottery scratchers. While the lottery scratcher is believed to be the ticket to the American dream, the used lottery scratcher speaks to the hopeless venture of playing the lottery. Playing into the lottery system gives us hope for better life circumstances. However, the system is rigged against us. It guarantees our perpetual state of poverty.
